Demons Get Ready For Homecoming
The Dodge City Red Demons will host the Great Bend Panthers, this Friday night, in the annual DCHS Homecoming contest. The game is slated for a 7:30 kickoff at Memorial Stadium.

Dodge City is coming off of a 53-18 defeat of Liberal in the conference opener for the Red Demons. Great Bend defeated Kapaun Mt. Carmel, in a non-conference contest.

The winner of Friday's contest will control their own destiny in the race for the Western Athletic Conference title. Both teams are undefeated in league play, along with Dodge City's week-six opponent, Hays. The Panthers' only loss of the season came at the hands of the defending 6A State Champions, Hutchinson, by a score of 26-10. The Red Demons enter the contest undefeated for the first time since 1994, the last time they won the WAC title.

The Red Demons have faced the Panthers 77 times, dating back to the 1907 season. The Demons lead the series 51-24-2. The Panthers won last year's game, 57-23. The Panthers have won the last six meetings between the two teams.
