Demons Impatient in Loss to Panthers
A slow start and a series of mistakes forced the Dodge City Red Demons to suffer their first defeat of the season: a 37-19 loss to the Great Bend Panthers on Homecoming night at Memorial Stadium.
In a night where the Demons stayed with the Panthers for part of the game and had their chances against the defending Western Athletic Conference champions, it was the Panthers who made the big plays when they needed them.
The Demons also hurt themselves by giving Great Bend good field position to start drives and squandering two good scoring chances with turnovers inside Panthers territory. Daily Globe Story
