Hatchet Week Activities Set
The Red Demon Football Booster Club will host a bonfire for the annual Hatchet Game on Thursday, October 12. Festivities will begin at 8:00 p.m. at the west grounds of Dodge City High School with a chili feed and music by DJ Monica Astorga. A spirit rally will be lead by the cheerleaders and DCHS pep band, followed by the lighting of the bonfire at 8:30 p.m.
Red Demon Football Boosters are also encouraging all citizens of Dodge City to wear red on Friday, October 13, and asking everyone who attends the game to wear red so we can RED OUT Memorial Stadium as the Red Demons take back the Hatchet!Ę If you donŐt have red clothing or want some more, stop at the Demon Shop trailer prior to the game.
The Friday night festivities will kick off with the Booster Club Tailgate at 6:00 p.m. in the southwest corner of Memorial Stadium. The menu will be Personal Pan Pizzas from Pizza Hut and Pepsi for the first 450 persons with a free will donation. The Demons will begin the buffalo hunt at 7:30 p.m.
