The Pride of Southwest Kansas Earns Top Rating
The Dodge City High School Marching Band, "The Pride of Southwest Kansas", earned a "one" rating at the prestigious Kansas State University Central States Marching Festival on Saturday, October 21.
"The Central States Marching Festival has grown into the premier marching band festival in the state of Kansas and the region," said Frank Tracz, K-State's director of bands. "We are very proud to be able to bring the kind of innovative and educational concepts to our festival that make the day one of the truly enjoyable and instructional marching events in all of the participants' year."
"The Pride" will perform their top-rated program at the final Red Demon football game, this Friday night. Congratulations to all the students and instructors for a job well done!
